Dave and Jess’ story is right out of a fairytale! They started off as high school sweethearts and are now happily married high school teachers!

The day was amazing, it was a typical warm cloudless spring day in sunny Queensland. The ceremony was held at Albert St Uniting Church in the Brisbane CBD and the reception at The Emporium Hotel in Fortitude Valley.  During their location photos we went back to where it all started, where Dave had proposed to Jess at Eagle St Pier.

Romantically, they were married in the same church as Jess’s parents were half a century earlier! Davids family are from China and held a very moving traditional Chinese tea ceremony before the wedding took place.

Dave is a huge basketball fan, and I mean huge! Their entry to the reception was the most creative entry I have ever seen! It involved each member of the bridal party as well as the parents of the bride and groom being introduced to the room as if they were the top of the top NBA players, complete with roaming spotlights, loud music and corresponding NBA style graphics for each person on the big screen!

Tara and I wish Dave and Jess many happy years of marriage, and we thank them for allowing us to tell their beautiful story.
