I am one of the lucky people who can honestly say that I love my job. There’s nothing better than sharing and capturing such an important day is peoples lives. But what’s even better than that, is being able to do it for your friends.
Ashleigh has been a friend of mine and Tara’s for many years now, and when she met Karl, he just slipped into that friendship so easily.
Ashleigh and Karl compliment each other so well, their fun loving nature, playfulness and love for each other is infectious and obvious to see.
Family is extremely important to Ashleigh and Karl and this was evident throughout their entire day. Karl’s 4 children played an active part in the wedding, with the girls at Bridesmaids and the boys as Groomsmen. Both Karl’s daughters also made heartfelt contributions at the reception, singing a song and giving a speech. Many of Karl’s family from New Zealand also travelled across the ditch to share in their special day. While Ashleigh’s family also travelled up from Melbourne and they got the entire family up to bless and give her away, which was something we’ve not seen photographing weddings before.
Ashleigh and Karl were married at Froggys Beach on the Gold Coast for a lovely midday ceremony and celebration. The weather in the morning threatened rain and winds but the sun broke through at just the right time and gave us the beautiful day you can see below.
