BEACHSIDE DOJO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY          23.11.18

Photographing lots of weddings in South East Queensland is wonderful, but when the opportunity to head to Beachside Dojo in picturesque Manly, on Sydney’s Northen Beaches arose, nothing was going to make me miss it!  In the months leading up to the wedding, I was racking my brain wondering where we would go after the ceremony. Scouting a location online isn’t impossible, but the results are more than a thousand times better if I can be there in person before hand. I knew Manly would be busy on a Friday afternoon coming into summer. But what no one was prepared for was the dust and wind storm that was lashing parts of NSW and specifically, Sydney on this same day! As a result of the storm, our flights down were canceled and I couldn’t be there to location scout as intended. We organized another way down, but the point of the story is that with most people indoors escaping the wind and debris… Natalie, Andrew and I were treated to an almost empty Manly beach at sun set! I couldn’t believe it, a beautiful couple who were madly in love, with an empty beach, and a sunset gradient that even Vincent Van Gogh would be inspired by!
